A Study in Black is a selection of studies on works on paper, where Gabriella Dell'Aquila uses India ink, photogram and oil pastels while exploring the physical materiality of the paper medium, cultural heritage and natural history, where the boldness and rawness gain a weight of the black color which gives a blunt, harsh sense of beauty and mystery.
