Gabriella Dell'Aquila is a multimedia Visual Artist and Auteur who works primarily with Photography, both analogue and digital, also producing Works on Paper.

The work investigates the tension between contemporaneity and nature; the human condition in contemporaneity and timeless narratives of the folk, capturing and investigating lores in the contemporaneity, like a search for beatnik myths, where street signs might be seen as poetic statements in reality; and sometimes nature grows around those signs; chaos or harmony are just words, it's more like a lore, where sometimes we find a clash, sometimes a strange balance. 
Nature, humans, architectural structures from. the old and the new, consume - where is the point of balance for a Future (perhaps Utopic, perhaps a strange beautiful balance) - or will it all clash?

A strange sense of harmony may be found in the unlikely, where it seems less possible. But the clash has a beauty too, because this clash is what makes newest narratives, new shapes of art and is the opening door for what was inexistent before.

 

While in Photography Gabriella Dell'Aquila's work aims for a high-end result both to ensure the truth to the artist narrative and to explore the medium - crafting through it a visual and artistic remarkable signature - the Auteur quality -, her works on paper and currently unreleased sculptures investigate the world under a blunter approach in which the folk and the contemporary merge.
 

In all mediums, textures are emphasized, shapes and colors unite with other visual elements to tell the lore; merging a sense of plasticity to artistic narrative which brings a strong sense of authenticity that tells a tale but leaves space for the unspoken, the mystery.
